INDUSTRY ADVOCACY

LEGISLATIVE EDUCATION AND ACTION DAY (L.E.A.D.)

Every year (except for 2020), volunteers from all the PPAI affiliate associations send representatives to Capitol Hill to educate legislators from all 50 states on the most pressing issues facing the promotional products industry and small businesses in general. They were focused on protecting the promotional products industry and preserving the interests of small businesses by emphasizing the value of promotional products and discussing key issues such as independent contractors, advertising expenditures, tariffs and the global value chain.

Legislative Action Watch (L.A.W.) alerts inform PMANC members of state and national legislation that may impact the promotional products industry and our livelihoods.  Through templates provided by Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) it’s easy to ask our elected officials to understand the effects of their actions on us, to persuade them to help us and to show our support when we benefit from their actions.

The PPAI ADvocate is a program designed to train promotional products professionals on how to make presentations to business groups about the power of promotional products and the importance of distributors as effective marketing resources.

The program’s objective is to educate buyers and potential buyers, and create an awareness of promotional products as a marketing medium starting at the community level.

If you are interested in becoming an ADvocate speaker or having one speak at your business networking groups, colleges/university classes or client functions, please contact Teri Ray at 713.665.4578 or email Teri at
