WLC's In-Person Return Seen As Much-Needed Success
A unique event within the promotional products industry, PPAI Women’s Leadership Conference (WLC) was one of the most missed traditions over the last two years, as the pandemic forced the event to be cancelled in 2020 and moved online in 2021. This week, Charlotte, North Carolina played host to the event’s return, described by the roughly 120 leading industry women in attendance as a much-needed triumph.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Mary Boyle as the fifth commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Her term will run through October 2025.
The Commissioner:
Boyle’s new role is her latest position in a 10-year career with the CPSC.
She joined the agency first as an attorney in the office of the general counsel before becoming general counsel herself, and most recently served as its executive director.
She is the second executive director to move to become a commissioner in the last few years. Former executive director Elliot Kaye served as a commissioner in 2014-2021.
